Boy Trouble

This evening I had to go pick up my medicine from Walgreens. It's a long ride so I asked Shelby if she wanted to come and as is normal for her she did. Last weekend she went camping and hasn't stopped talking about it since! She had a blast. Mostly all they did was stay at the pool and you can tell..She got burnt in some places and in some she looks like a little ginger bread girl..makes me sick. So we were talking and she brought up the subject of camping and then hear it comes the dreaded day when my Shelby tells me how cool it was that there was a boy scout troup camping at the same time..this would not be a problem except that she then proceeded to tell me how some of the boys were cute and how she and her friend enjoyed looking at them while they were at the pool! The nerve of that girl..how dare she grow up so quickly? I mean just because she's about to be 14, so what, I was hoping to remain blissfully in "I could care less about how boys look momma" land for a little longer. The thing is with Shelby she is always honest with me about her feelings, almost to a fault sometimes know what I'm sayin'? Some things I just don't want to know yet. They grow up so fast. Note to self: don't blink or she will be grown.
